INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING SUCKS!

I’m exasperated! I’m pulling my hair out!

I’m tired of the way American urban planning solves the wrong problems, if any all!

I’m exhausted by the constant wheel-spinning, when the wheels are CARS ONLY.

Here you’ll get takes. Some long-form, some short-form.

I started to write in April 2020, but I’ve been thinking about this stuff for over 5 years. My goal is to build community around the idea that the solutions to our so-called infrastructure ‘crisis’ are available now, and they’re mind-blowingly simple. But we’re too dumb to use them. You know how I know this?

Because we’re still following the same blueprint of money-churn and burn. We’re still not correcting for the racism that’s eating away at this country—that roars as loud as the traffic on I-5.

Dive in. Drop a line. Say hello.

I want to hear from you! DMs open on Twitter. I want to know what you’re reading. I want to know if you want to be featured here. I want to know what you think we’ve gotten really, really wrong. Let me know that you’re exasperated.

Here’s a few essays to get you started. A best-of (so far), if you will:
